Change of Plans

Rather than switch this Blog I decided to create a new one. Its title is "The Mad Cinesta" and I will start writing in that blog. It's just easier than changing everything.

A New Path

I have decided to blog more often and to embark on a different path for this blog. It started as a place to share my progress with Spinning. I haven't given that up but I haven't blogged on it either. I have started reading a book Showgirls Teen Wolves and Astro Zombies: A Film Critic's Year-Long Quest to Find The Worst Movie Ever Made by Michael Adams. The book has inspired me to blog about my own cinematic/television/regular viewing experiences. I'll try to post every day but that may change due to classes beginning on Tuesday. I'll start tonight when I watch "City of the Dead" AKA "The Gates of Hell" by Lucio Fulci a movie I've been wanting to watch for years.

The day has arrived!

Today I received my spindle kit, fiber and carding combs. I have already spun about two feet of yarn and am looking forward to doing more. It's not as frustrating as I anticipated but I do know that it will require a lot of effort on my part, but I do love it. For once I'm being patient and that's a weird feeling for me.

Pictures of the fiber and equipment to come.

Spinning Noob

I have begun yet another crafting project, this one is sure to be time consuming and awesome beyond words. I will be spinning my own yarn. I have bought the kits and the fiber and even found an affordable carder. I am so excited to start this! I will post pictures as things progress. Once I have the full collection I will take pictures and will include other pics of the process.

Look for more posts in the weeks and months to come!

Knitting Madness

Recently I have become obsessed with knitting. It's all I seem to do lately, well I actually crochet too. I'm crocheting something for my best friend and all I can say is that I hope it turns out. I'm even stumbling knit patterns to find new things I can do.

I forsee a lot of yarn buying in my future.
